Chapter 6

Laura

Tommy must have been like a mouse the morning after, as he had already left for work by the time I woke up on Monday. We had talked until the early hours and decided that we were going to take Cara up on her generous offer. I sent him a text to remind him to invite Kazumi to be with us and then I set about what I had planned for the day. Strange as it might sound, I was pleased when I walked into the kitchen and found some of the debris from the previous day. It gave me something to do, but also while doing so I found a note from Tommy.

‘Laura

Sorry, I grabbed the bottles and have thrown them into the recycling and put the bins out. I didn’t have time to do much else. I’ll ask Kaz at lunch about Xmas and NY and be back by 3 for your appointment.

First, I put some coffee on to brew and bread in the toaster and then I went to the front door and looked out, both bins were ready for collection. “Thank you, Tommy,” I said to myself. Next was breakfast, I buttered the toast and added jam and sat at the table with coffee and checked my email as I ate. A couple of offers for penis enlargement, ED and other medication were waiting for me. I had also received payment advice for half my fee for the photo shoot, as per the contract the other half would be paid on approval of the photos.

There was also an email from Terry which thanked me for my time and patience. The tone was contrite although there was no out and out apology from him, but again, his behaviour, although suggestive, had not quite stepped over the line. Even the breakfast, taken at face value, was just a working breakfast. It was a surprise to get the mail, but I was glad I had not burnt that particular bridge as the payment of two thousand pounds in my bank showed how lucrative it could be.

After I finished breakfast and tidied up the kitchen, I spent the rest of the morning working through the photos and uploading them to the cloud account as instructed. I also transferred half of the payment into the savings account linked to my current account. This had been Tommy’s idea, then I would have money readily available to pay my tax and other bills when needed.

Around midday I had a bite to eat and then jumped into the shower, the cut was doing well now, but I was still careful about getting it wet. Come three in the afternoon, I was sitting watching some rubbish on the TV when Tommy got home.

“Ready?” he asked.

“No, not yet.”

“What do you need me to do?” I tilted my head to one side.

“You’re sat watching TV, I guessed it was something I needed to do, or it would be done.”

I smiled and walked over to him, put my arms around his neck and kissed him.
